Integrative Therapy

I believe that the combination between Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and a somatic approach based on the Alexander Technique´s work can be very useful to overcome emotional disturbances. CBT explores our mindsets and the perspective that we take in every situation. That means that we can work together in exploring those mindsets/beliefs and turn them into helpful ways of thinking. Hopefully that will lead you to a more healthier emotional balance. The somatic approach based on Alexander´s work brings the connection between body and mind. With this particular work we learn about how we react to internal/external stimulus. Those reactions are not only at physical but also mental level. With that experience, you can learn how do you react to any stimulus of living.

Every person is unique, and, in that sense, I will adapt to your needs. I trust that it is important during our sessions that we allow the space to explore mindsets/beliefs as well as to allow ourselves to come back to a state of quietness. In those moments, I will use a combination of CBT approaches as well as a somatic approach based on the Alexander Technique work.

As an Integrative CBT Therapist, we can explore thoughts, behaviours, emotions and find different tools that can help you deal with problems that you are facing. Also Alexander approach is based on observation, hands-on approach, and verbal guidance. That work is experimental and often throws attention to the body and mind and how they are interconnected. Once that connection is established, we can start exploring the story that brings you to therapy. In those moments,

The session is a place where you can explore what works best for you.

You can find more information about the session in the section “About the session”.
