CBT helps us explore the thoughts and beliefs that shape how you feel and respond to situations. By identifying unhelpful patterns, we can work toward healthier, more balanced ways of thinking.
The somatic element brings attention to how your body reacts to stress, emotions, and everyday challenges. Inspired by the Alexander Technique, this approach helps you become more aware of unconscious physical habits, supporting a deeper mind-body connection and greater emotional regulation.
Each session is tailored to your pace and needs, offering practical tools and embodied awareness to support lasting change. This is a space for exploration—gentle, curious, and grounded in presence.
Together, we’ll explore through movement, allowing the body and mind to express themselves. We’ll also explore through conversation, making room for your thoughts, your story, and the insights that arise in shared dialogue. And sometimes, we’ll simply hold space to be—without needing to fix, do, or change anything.
This is your time. Your space. A place to reconnect—with yourself, and with what’s here now.
Exploring through Movement:
I will use a hands-on approach as well as verbal guidance and observation. Through simple daily movements such as sitting, standing, walking, talking we will explore the relationship between the mind and the body whilst in activity. That experience will allow ourselves to better understand our habits of reaction, in a safe environment. Ultimately, we will learn with time, not to rush and to allow presence and awareness to grow. In other words, we will practice presence and awareness through body/mind connection.
Exploring through Talking:
During that time, you will be able to share your thoughts and feelings that led you to come to therapy. At your own pace, we will explore your thoughts, behaviours, emotions on any problem that you might want to talk about. Colaboratively, we will explore other mindsets that could be helpful to overcome those challenging moments. Through the help of different integrative cognitive behavioural therapies, we explore what works best for you.
Time to Just Be:
You will allow yourself to stay for 15 to 20 minutes lying down in a semi supine postion, without attempting to move or achieve anything in particular. I will support you gently with my hands and verbal instructions. The whole idea is to bring yourself into a state of lower stress, anxiety, and pain and restore a state of natural equilibrium. Although is a lying down position, you will be resting in an active constructive way. Please follow the video bellow for more information.
