Therapist in Little Venice – Somatic CBT West London
Looking for a therapist near Little Venice?
I am Carlos Monteiro, a therapist with a practice just a short walk from the canal-side streets of Little Venice, conveniently located between Maida Vale and St John's Wood. If you are a young professional living or working in this part of West London, my practice is one of the most accessible therapy locations in the W9 area.
My work focuses on helping people who feel held back, whether through low confidence, difficulty speaking up, people pleasing, or social anxiety, to feel more grounded and able to be themselves. I combine Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with somatic, body-based awareness to work with both the thinking patterns and physical responses that keep you stuck. My practice is a 5 to 7 minute walk from Warwick Avenue Underground station, making it genuinely easy to reach from Little Venice and the surrounding area.
Serving Little Venice & Surrounding Areas
My practice supports clients from across this part of West London, including
- Little Venice (W9),
- Maida Vale,
- Warwick Avenue,
- Paddington,
- Westbourne Park,
and the wider Westminster and Brent border areas.
How I Can Help
Confidence Therapy
For those who feel held back, second-guess themselves, or struggle to feel fully like themselves at work or in daily life.
People Pleasing Therapy
For those who over-extend, struggle to say no, or put everyone else's needs first at cost to themselves.
Social Anxiety Therapist
For those who feel on edge around others, hold back in social situations, or struggle to speak up freely.
CBT Therapy
Practical, structured support for changing the thought patterns and beliefs that keep you stuck.
Somatic Therapy
Body-based awareness to help you notice and release the physical patterns that accompany stress and self-doubt.
Anxiety Therapy
Support for those who overthink, feel overwhelmed, or carry a persistent sense of unease into work and daily life.
My Approach
I combine Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with somatic, body-based awareness. This means we work with both the thoughts that keep you stuck and the physical responses that accompany them, building a steadier, more grounded sense of yourself over time.

What to Expect
Sessions are 50 minutes and take place at my practice between Maida Vale and St John's Wood. We start with a free 20-minute consultation to talk through what has been bringing you to therapy and whether my approach feels like a good fit.
The work is collaborative and practical. You will leave with tools you can use straight away, alongside deeper work on the patterns that tend to keep things stuck.
Getting Here from Little Venice
